Most of the facilities are distributed among a 14-story tower and two lower wings set beside a terraced pool area. Ten acres of subtropical gardens surround the cream-colored buildings, creating an oasis of streams, bridges, and lily ponds complete with fish and turtles.

Adjacent to the hotel, the Don Carlos Beach Club features a large, freeform pool with a 10-foot waterfall; a wide, sandy beach; and an activity desk where guests can rent a variety of water toys. Sun beds and towels are available for a fee. The Beach Club is open from Easter to October. The resort offers a supervised activity program for children during the summer and on Easter and Christmas holidays.
